About the Show
It’s 1934, and the clever, combustible Lucille Wiley, Manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is ready to welcome world-class soprano Elena Firenzi for a high-stakes, one-night-only starring role in Carmen.
The only problem? Elena arrives late, her passionately jealous husband Pasquale throws a fit, and it’s entirely up to Mrs. Wiley’s mousy but fiercely determined assistant, Jo, to try and save the day.
Based on Ken Ludwig’s Tony Award-winning Lend Me a Tenor, this fast-paced screwball farce puts women in the leading roles and is guaranteed to leave audiences rolling in the aisles.
Directed by Laura T. Garza, it’s presented by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
