Cardboard Kids are two feet tall cardboard figures shaped like children that represent one of the thousands of children in the community who suffer from abuse and neglect. Local businesses, clubs, organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate in this campaign by decorating and displaying their very own Cardboard Kid in a prominent place on Thursday April 6. They can then take a picture of their family’s cardboard kid and share it on social media using the hashtag #cardboardkidsSA. Parents are also encouraged to use this time to talk to their children about child about and personal safety. Tips on how to do this are available online.
