Celebrate Fiesta with La Panadería’s Fiesta-themed pan dulce

Fiesta is back and arriving just in time for Fiesta 2021, San Antonio staple La Panadería will release a festive Fiesta-themed croissant, available at its Broadway, Houston St. and La Cantera Heights locations exclusively during Fiesta June 17-27. A sweet addition to any Fiesta celebration, La Panadería will offer its popular Tres Leches Croissant filled with strawberries and cream and adorned with Fiesta-colored frosting. Since opening La Panadería in San Antonio in 2014, the Cáceres brothers’ mission has been to share Mexico’s “Bread Cultura,” bringing the art of their beloved pan dulce items to the Texas market that have since become a culinary staple for residents and visitors to San Antonio alike. La Panadería has seen great success in San Antonio and has shown resilience throughout the uncertain times the global coronavirus pandemic has brought on. The bakery, which specializes in handmade bread, pan dulce and pastries inspired by Mexico’s Golden Era, or Epoca de Oro, draws influence from French, Italian and American bread making techniques. La Panadería’s unique approach to breadmaking includes a minimum 48-hour fermentation process that results in artisan bread and pastries unlike any other. All three of La Panadería’s locations offer indoor and al fresco dining as well as online ordering.

Even though this year’s Fiesta has been cancelled, many in San Antonio still love to celebrate Fiesta and collecting medals.  This week, EVO Entertainment Group is kicking off a limited time offer at their Schertz and Creekside locations where guests can purchase a Frozen Mangonada Margarita and receive a free EVO 2020 Fiesta Medal with purchase. The Frozen Mangonada Margarita is available for purchase for just $9.

This Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, EVO Kyle and EVO Schertz will welcome celebrity guest and Freddy vs. Jason actress, Monica Keena, for special showings of the film. Tickets are $10 each and are available for purchase now using the link below.

The Squeezebox announces Fiesta Packs To Go

Fiesta may have been postponed but San Antonians can still get their Fiesta fix this week. The Squeezebox is announcing “A Night in Old SQZBOX” with Fiesta Packs To Go for customers to enjoy at home. The package options include a 6 pack of beer plus Fiesta food favorites like Chicken on a Stick, Gorditas, Footlong Sausage and Footlong Corndog. The Fiesta foods will be catered by Berna’s Street Food. All packages include a FREE Twang Michelada Kit and Beer Salt. (The Squeezebox, 2020)

Availability will be on a first come, first served basis (pre orders have closed). 100 percent no contact pick-up. Payment only via debit and credit card. Pick ups will be available Thursday, April 23 through Saturday, April 25 from 6p.m. to 10p.m.

Fiesta Confetti Madness at North Star Mall

Everyone is invited to celebrate Fiesta at North Star Mall for the ultimate Confetti Experience on Friday April 19 and Saturday April 20 from noon to 4p.m. Shoppers will have a chance to enter a large wind tunnel confetti booth for a chance to grab the golden ticket to win a $250 shopping spree.  There will be five winners per day. Shoppers will receive a commemorative collectible North Star Fiesta Medal, while supplies last. (North Star Mall, 2019)

Mariachis and a DJ will provide festive music as the backdrop to activities that include flower crown making classes, fashions and make-up demonstrations. The Easter Bunny, furry, fluffy and full of hugs will be available for visits. Commemorative photo packages start at $29.99. All children under 12 receive a complimentary surprise when they strike a cozy pose with Ms. Easter Bunny located in front of Macy’s. The Easter Bunny will greet visitors during mall hours through Saturday, April 20, when she leaves to deliver eggs to children around the globe.

Pluckers to host first Fiesta celebration

Pluckers Wing Bar is hosting their first annual Fiesta celebration at the Selma location on Thursday, April 18. The first 200 Pluckers Club members to arrive and stay for the launch of Pluck Hunt will receive Pluckers’ first-ever limited-edition Fiesta medal. (Pluckers Wing Bar, 2019)

The celebration is family-friendly, with crafts, face painting and more starting at 6p.m. At 7:30p.m., Pluckers will launch their weekly signature game, Pluck Hunt, a scavenger-hunt style game guests can play in their seat. The host will ask teams to complete fun challenges and search for objects on their phones. The top two scoring teams and one randomly chosen team get to roll Pluckers’ giant dice for gift card prizes. Pluck Hunt will take place every Thursday at 9p.m., beginning May 2, at the Selma location.

Pluckers Club, Pluckers’ signature rewards program and membership, offers members a variety of rewards, including, but not limited to, free birthday meals, invitations to exclusive events, food and drink specials and more.
