EVO Entertainment is making it easy to celebrate safely. Their Watermelon Margarita, made with EVO’s signature EVO Patron Barrel Select Tequila, Triple Sec, agave, fresh watermelon and fresh lime is the perfect treat to enjoy as you take in a socially distant movie in one of their theaters or enjoy one of their drive-in movies. This refreshing margarita is a great addition to any film.
As part of Taco Cabana’s MargaritaPalooza, the popular San Antonio-based chain is offering 12 flavors of $2 margaritas, including one of their most popular – Watermelon. The beverage, perfect for celebrating National Watermelon Day, is available for drive-thru and curbside pickup throughout participating locations in Texas. The margaritas are also available for delivery in San Antonio.

1/2 cup fresh grilled fruit – we used grilled Watermelon
1 ounce fresh squeezed Lime Juice
¾ ounce Agave syrup – adjust to your taste
2 ounces Blanco Tequila
1 cup of Ice

Add all ingredients to blender on high speed
Rim glass with Twang-A-Rita Sunrise spice or your favorite Twang salt.

EVO Entertainment Group® is excited to announce Anthony Michael Hall’s Summer Drive-In Film Festival taking place over four weekends in July and August. Anthony Michael Hall, known for films like The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, 16 Candles and more will be hosting the film festival. Each evening will offer a double-feature presentation of two films shown outdoors at the EVO® Drive-In experience. Throughout the screenings, guests will have the ability to purchase food and beverage, merchandise, autographs and more via EVO’s mobile app. During the intermission between the two films, guests will also enjoy a 45-minute interactive Q&A with Anthony Michael Hall and guests plus the opportunity to have a professional photo taken with the celebrities. In order to promote a safe environment, questions for the Q&A will be submitted via EVO’s mobile app or in writing. Guests that partake in the photo opportunity will be asked to wear a mask up until the photo is taken and photos will be available for download through EVO’s website. The use of personal phones for photos will not be permitted in an effort to limit the number of surfaces being touched during the photo opportunity.
All tickets are priced at $25.00 per vehicle and can be purchased online. Tickets are valid only for the weekend and location chosen and shown on the tickets. Guests must purchase a separate ticket for each event they wish to attend, there are no all-inclusive ticket options. Tickets are non-refundable.

With the Fourth of July around the corner, several businesses around the San Antonio area are offering special deals to help celebrate in style. Whether food or entertainment, Bakery Lorraine, EVO Entertainment, San Antonio Museum of Art and La Panaderia have something for everyone.
Bakery Lorraine:
This Fourth of July, Bakery Lorraine will have their famous Apple pie made with five different apple varieties and donning a lattice decor this holiday season. A new decadent, Chocolate Creme pie will also be available along with their traditional Buttermilk pie topped with fresh berries. This will make the perfect addition to any socially-distanced barbecue, virtual or home celebration. Pies are $26 each and available for pre-order starting on Thursday, June 25. Pre-orders can be done online or by calling the desired store. All pie orders must be placed by Tuesday, June 30, at midnight. Pickup in-store Friday (7/3) or Saturday (7/4). In celebration of Independence Day, EVO Entertainment will be offering their play on a buy-one-get-one special, where guests can get a free game card equaling their food & beverages purchases at EVO. For example, if a guest spends $20 in refreshments, they are eligible for a free $20 game card to play arcade style games with opportunities to win prizes. There is no cap on how much they can spend or receive for this Fourth of July special. The offer is valid on July 4, 2020 and is available at participating EVO locations in Schertz and Kyle. San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA):
On Sunday, July 5 from Noon to 3p.m., the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) will host its Family Day See + Do, a free event for SAISD students and their families. A perfect addition to the holiday weekend, families will have an opportunity to meet Pegasus and other mythical animals as they explore the realms of fantasy in this no-contact, physically distanced family day. Families will have the opportunity to invent their own magical animal and draw it on scratch art paper, sculpt a multi-headed hydra and enjoy a self-paced scavenger hunt. La Panaderia:
The popular San Antonio bakery will be open to visitors this Fourth of July at both locations so guests can stop in and treat themselves to decadent pan dulce while taking a break from the heat. EVO Entertainment Group® recently announced that it will assume operation of the former Sky Cinemas space at Belterra Village in Dripping Springs, TX. The 14-screen cinema is slated to reopen to the public under EVO® ownership on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in alignment with current city and state ordinances. (EVO Entertainment Group, 2020)
The theater will immediately undergo re-branding to become EVO® Cinemas with plans for significant improvements over the next 12 months. EVO® plans to invest over $1 million dollars toward the venue in order to implement offerings such as EVO® dine-in with push button in-theater service, as well as expansion of the existing kitchen into a signature scratch kitchen, and the addition of EVO®’s craft cocktail and beer programming. The venue will also feature expanded live music and community event offerings, allowing for an overall improved guest experience.

Fall LTO Menu Available now until December 1
Available from September through December 1, EVO has launched its Fall Limited Time Menu (LTO) for movie-goers, gamers and bowlers looking for fall-themed food and cocktails. Patrons can find seasonal flavors at EVO’s open kitchen and bar all curated by a culinary manager.
Pecan Old Fashioned – This fall take on the classic cocktail uses Texas pecan whiskey and Buffalo Trace and was created to make patrons feel right at home for the cozy fall months. ($10)
Pumpkin Spiced Shake – Guests can get their pumpkin fix by selecting from pumpkin or vanilla ice cream and spiking their milkshake with vodka and Bailey’s Pumpkin Spice. ($10)
Sweet Potato Hummus – Starters reminiscent of a fall harvest include sweet potato hummus, blended in-house and served with veggies and fresh-baked pita chips. ($8)

EVO Entertainment Group will be scooping out specials at three of their locations across South Texas including Schertz, Kyle and The SPOT at San Marcos. Specials include hand-spun milkshakes for $5 all day at EVO (normally $6.50) and boozy shakes for $6 (normally $8.50).
EVO’s classic shakes are vanilla, chocolate and strawberry with options of more exquisite flavors like Mexican Vanilla and Caramel. Boozy shakes include ‘Grab Life By The Bourbon’ featuring maker’s mark, Kahlua, nutmeg and caramel and others can be made to order. Movie-goers seeing the Lion King will prefer Hakuna Matata from the summer LTO menu that pairs with the film release and has brownie chunks and is drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce.
