Back to school tax free weekend at San Marcos Premium Outlets

San Marcos Premium Outlets will have extended hours during the Texas Sales Tax Holiday from August 9 through August 11.

Another school year is around the corner and it is time for the Texas Sales Tax Holiday. San Marcos Premium Outlets invites area residents and visitors to enjoy extended hours and great deals during tax-free weekend. (San Marcos Premium Outlets, 2019)

San Marcos Premium Outlets is pleased to offer shoppers the opportunity to purchase back-to-school necessities without paying sales tax on qualifying items in accordance with the Texas Sales Tax Holiday. The 3-day sales tax break begins on Friday, August 9 and ends on Sunday, August 11. During this period, retailers will not be required to collect state and local sales use tax on most footwear, clothing, backpacks and school supplies priced less than $100.

Before hitting the mall, shoppers can check out even more savings by visiting the Simon Retailer Showcase online where coupons and other retailer deals await.

Not sure what clothes are school uniform approved? Stop by Simon Guest Services at either property for a list of school requirements, which stores to find the appropriate attire and which stores have the best deals.

Customers who spend $450 at select stores can visit Guest Services, located in the Food Court, from Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11, during center hours, and receive a free lunch tote.

San Marcos Premium Outlets hosts safety fair

San Marcos Premium Outlets will host a safety fair this Saturday October 13. 

This weekend, San Marcos Premium Outlets is hosting a day of safety education and is inviting area families to take advantage of this family friendly event. The Safety Fair will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 12p.m.to 3p.m. and will feature various activities and exhibits that focus on safety awareness for the entire family, including face painting, caricature drawings and free child ID kits. There will also be a meet and greet with city emergency personnel and attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a fire house simulator and fire truck tours. (San Marcos Premium Outlets, 2018)

San Marcos Premium Outlets will also host a blood drive from 10a.m. to 2p.m. in the parking lot. Interested donors can sign up online. The first 200 attendees will receive a free, emergency “Go Bag” and first aid kit. It will be a day of giveaways, exclusive discounts and more. This event is free and open to the public.

San Marcos Premium Outlets recently announced that Jimmy Choo opened its first Texas outlet location on Friday July 20. Founded in 1996 in London, Jimmy Choo is a leading luxury fashion accessories brand with shoes at its heart. Known for its art of celebrity dressing, Jimmy Choo has dressed style icons from celebrities and royalty to musicians and heads of state. With more than 150 stores, the global brand opened a 2,300 square-foot storefront at San Marcos Premium Outlets next to CH Carolina Herrera, uniting the complete Jimmy Choo men’s and women’s collection of shoes, handbags, small leather accessories and sunglasses. San Marcos Premium Outlets has extended shopping hours this Memorial Day weekend.

San Marcos Premium Outlets announces extended shopping hours this Memorial Day Weekend from Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28, for the ultimate shopping convenience.  Select stores will have special promotions throughout the weekend and are offering additional holiday discounts on top of already everyday low prices. Just in time for this this weekend’s shopping, Michael Kors is reopening Friday, May 25. The new and improved store is larger and carries a larger assortment of products, including women’s shoes for the first time. After an extensive makeover and expansion, Michael Kors will reopen in its original location between Restoration Hardware and Gucci.
