WB Liquors & Wine makes donation to Homes For Our Troops

WB Liquors & Wine Representatives John Herrmann, Owner & CEO and Vanessa Munson, Vice President with Home For Our Troops Representatives Matthew Murphy, Corporate Partnership Manager, and Bill Ivey, Executive Director and Marine Corporal Travis Echols, HFOT 2017 recipient and New Braunfels resident.

WB Liquors & Wine, a San Antonio family-owned company, recently hosted a check ceremony, presenting its 2021 WB Cares program fundraising efforts to Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), with the final amount revealed to be $152,000. (WB Liquors & Wine, 2022)

This year’s fundraiser was strong, surpassing the $100,000 mark with this final push for donations. HFOT is a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives.

This year’s fundraising efforts will go to building a home for Texas veteran Marine Corporal Raymond D. Hennagir III who was severely injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion while serving on his second deployment in Iraq. The blast resulted in the loss of both his legs and several fingers on his left hand. Last summer, Hennagir competed at the highest-level winning silver as part of USA’s Wheelchair Rugby team at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

From Wednesday, December 29 through Friday, December 31, WB Liquors & Wine will be offering a promotional champagne combo package of Moet & Chandon Imperial, 750ML, and a 4 pack of stemless champagne glasses at $65. The promotional special will be available at all WB Liquors & Wine locations. WB Liquors & Wine stores will be open regular hours from 10a.m. to 9p.m. It will be closed on New Year’s Day. As part of its WB Cares program, WB Liquors & Wine is launching the final phase of its 2021 fundraiser to benefit Home For Our Troops (HFOT) – a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. This year, WB Liquors & Wine has been supporting Marine Corporal Raymond D. Hennagir III of Arlington, Texas. WB Liquors & Wine has been raising funds for HFOT and Marine Corporal Hennagir since August. The family-owned company is excited to finish this year’s fundraiser strong and surpass the $100,000 mark with this final push for donations. Customers can donate at any WB Store or WB Liquor Sales location across Texas now through Friday, December 24.

To help celebrate and kick-off the Halloween season, WB’s vodka specialists have put together a spooky vodka recipe that will work with any of their featured vodkas:

Halloween Eyeball Martini
Ingredients:
• 2 canned lychees + 1/2 ounce lychee juice from the can
• 2 cherries (Grand Island Orchard)
• 2 1/2 ounces vodka
• 1/2 ounce St. Germain
• 1/2 ounce lemon juice

Instructions:
1. Stuff one cherry in each of the two lychees. Skewer the two lychees with an extra-long toothpick.
2. Put lychee juice, vodka, St. Germain and lemon juice in a shaker. Add a handful of ice to the shaker and shake briefly until outside of the shaker condensates. Strain and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with lychee eyeballs.

WB Liquors & Wine celebrates Tequila Day with specials on its top-selling tequilas. Tequila Day specials will run at all WB locations from July 19-July 24. (WB Liquors & Wine, 2021)

WB Liquors & Wine is adding sizzling specials to some of their hottest tequilas in celebration of Tequila Day on Saturday, July 24. Tequila started to trend in everyone’s home bar carts during the pandemic in 2020, with its share of liquor sales up 22% over 2019. Plus, while national net spirits sales increased by 15% in Q3 and Q4 of 2020, tequila jumped 80%.
