The Writers of the Future anthology of award-winning science fiction and fantasy short stories just released volume 38 at a major Hollywood event. L. Ron Hubbard, the author of the sci-fi classic “Battlefield Earth,” started the contest as “a means for new and budding writers to have a chance for their creative efforts to be seen and acknowledged.” Bringing on board a panel of blue-ribbon authors to select the stories, it continues to make publishing history year after year.
