It is the story of seventeen year old Jimmy James III as told by Jimmy himself and begins with him trying to reassure us that he is not a monster, that he is not a killer. He is a fugitive in hiding, accused of killing two of his classmates but insists he is just a normal high school kid and proceeds to recount the events of that tragic day. The first couple of chapters take place at school and revolve around Jimmy and his friends during a typical school day. Elonzo Phillips is a writer who was born and raised in Wharton, Texas. He started writing when he was 19 years old while in his second semester in college and wrote his first book when he was 21. By the time he graduated college, he had written four books. He wanted to become a writer because he has always excelled at creating stories, both fiction and non-fiction. When he was in school, he was constantly teased for daydreaming and now he has turned it into writing, his favorite hobby, for when he is daydreaming, he is re-writing reality in his head as his own personal multiverse. His favorite author is Stephen King and the movies based on his books, especially Stand By Me, Misery, Pet Sematary, and The Shawshank Redemption partially inspired him to become a writer.
