L.W. Manley resides in Chicago with her husband, daughter, and cat named Star. She has been a federal employee for the past 36 years and worked with the Department of Education for 20 years. She has a business degree and is a union advocate for employees in the workplace. Her work experience has given her extensive knowledge on defaulted student loan debt, financial hardships, administrative wage garnishments, and refunds. When she is not writing or working with unions, she enjoys spending time with family.
