In her book ‘Tears of Change,’ Debbie Monteggia portrays human emotions as an opportunity for personal growth. Photo: amazon
Debbie Monteggia is an interior designer turned author. Diagnosed with acute anxiety, she turned her condition into an opportunity to live an authentic life, pursue her passion for writing, and inspire other people through her poems. Throughout her journey in life Debbie has recognized the depth, diversity, and power of emotions. She understands how important it is to honor all emotions and not to suppress or ignore the more challenging or fearful ones. These are the ones that will transition you into your joy once you move through them. All your experiences are necessary to get you through your life lessons. Her book “Tears of Change” is a collection of unique poems and quotes that take the reader on a cathartic journey through life’s everyday emotions— sorrow, acceptance, loss, renewal, pain, and joy. It emerged from the author’s own tears of sadness and despair, and carried her through subsequent tears of joy, grace, and gratitude. (Black Château, 2021)
With its heartfelt message and beautiful illustrations, “Tears of Change” makes the perfect Mother’s Day gift and the kind of book that finds a permanent and cherished home on the coffee table. The poetry collection provides a roadmap for navigating inner and outer challenges and turning them into opportunities for personal growth.
Debbie hopes that some of her poetry will touch readers’ hearts and bring them to a place of appreciation and peace. Most importantly, she hopes that her work will reveal to the reader the depth, diversity, and power of emotions and help them understand how important it is to honor all emotions. She is passionate about expressing her voice through poetry and hopes that that one or many of the poems included in “Tears of Change” will inspire readers to take a leap in expressing all their emotions, so they might reach a deeper place of love and gratitude within themselves.

‘Portraits From The Woods’ is Norman Reedus’ new book of photography. Photo: Big Bald Gallery, used with permission.
Norman Reedus is best known as Daryl Dixon in the popular AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead and for his television show Ride with Norman Reedus. His film credits include The Boondock Saints and its sequel The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, Blade II, and Deuces Wild. He is seldom without his camera and in his new book “Portraits From The Woods,” he combines his day job with his passion for photography to create a new coffee table book of more than 140 pages of glossy images. These images range from behind-the-scenes moments from the set and personal portraits of small screen zombies and snapshots of crewmates and family members. (CWPR, 2020)
In “Portraits From The Woods,” Norman Reedus captures moments behind the scenes of TWD as only Norman could deliver. With his unique sense of humor, traveling into the Georgian woods with Norman’s cast of characters and zombies, alongside portraits of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hideo Kojima, Lena Dunham, Diane Kruger, Dave Chapelle, and many more to reveal the individuals that inhabit his life. Norman has an indelible way of capturing the beauty and mystery in others. His photographs are beautiful and terrifying, macabre, and provoking, alternately dark, and sublime. Certain portraits remain vivid and clear, while others are washed in intrigue: grainy, hazy, and obscured. What unites all these faces are the eyes that see them: Norman’s. From those eyes come a piercing intimacy, both precious and rare.
“Portraits From The Woods” is available now as Hardcover First Edition (144 pages), exclusively on Reedus’ website for $75. The Special Collector’s Edition: Clothbound Clamshell Box which includes book plus signed archival photograph is also available. Proceeds from sales are being donated to the COVID-19 Response Fund.
“I always have my eyes open. ‘Portraits From The Woods’ is like stepping in my own shoes, seen through my eyes with my sense of humor.” – Norman Reedus

iFLY is taking the proper precautions to ensure guests can enjoy their flying experience by investing in new safety measures to create new ways of keeping people safe in their buildings. The enhanced safety procedures include, but are not limited to, the following: the ability to complete waivers online, touchless temperature readings for all entering the building, contact-free check-in, floor markings indicating distancing requirements, all equipment, including helmets, goggles and flight suits, sanitized and washed after each use, hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility, and surface areas and touchpoints, such as counters, door handles, and bathroom facilities, will be regularly wiped down with disinfectant.
As temperatures drop, this is a fun and safe activity to do indoors. In fact, iFLY’s wind tunnels have a fresh air advantage over other experiences. Tested and proven, iFLY’s wind tunnels create an environment at least 10x fresher than the average store or gym when flying guests—even at slow wind speeds.
