Aged, a new thriller starring Morgan Boss-Maltais, Carla Kidd, and Dave McClain, and directed by Anubys Lopez is now available on digital platforms. Viewing options include Tubi, where you can watch for free with ads, and Amazon Video, where you can rent or purchase. (October Coast, 2023)
Synopsis: After taking a temporary job as a caregiver, a young woman realizes her employer and the house have a dangerous, dark past.
Filmed in Houston, Texas, the unnerving character-driven dramatic thriller is the latest film from writer/director Anubys Lopez and his Harrowhouse Films, whose previous film the horror film Those That Call was released in 2022. Lopez works are usually horrors or thrillers based on true events or small town’s folklore. He is known for having abrupt, shocking, or unexpected endings to his films.

Victor Gaviria is one of Colombia’s most legendary directors. Mercedes, his daughter, returns to her hometown to take part in the shooting of her father’s latest film. As she documents her controversial father at work and goes over hundreds of hours of footage that Victor took of his own family over the years, their two directorial gazes meet. Through the process Mercedes embraces the infinite contradictions of her family and reflects on the role women have in the film industry.

Virtual Screening The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)’s Doc Fortnight 2021, the 20th edition of its annual showcase of nonfiction films from around the globe.
Guido Segal is the curator of the program. He is the Screenwriter and Program Manager at LACLA, known for his film critiques and screenwriting, he has worked on multiple projects in a screenwriting capacity. Using his talents, L.A based Segal offers his screenwriting prowess through his work as a professor.
Latin American Cinemateca of Los Angeles (LACLA) is a California non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange through film by screening classic and contemporary films from Latin America and by USA Latinas and Latinos. LACLA also supports the film and media efforts of Los Angeles inner-city middle and high school students with its annual student film festival.
For the past quarter century, LACLA has been championing and screening both feature and short films by LatinX filmmakers from all over the Americas with LACLA’s Cine Nueva Onda showcasing young and experimental Latin narratives from up-and-coming filmmakers.

Uncork’d Entertainmenthas acquired North American rights to Wendigo and Monstrous director Bruce Wemple’s First Contact. The creature feature, which features strong practical effects and an outstanding performance by Wemple film-staple Anna Shields, premiered to raves at Panic Fest in April. This month, Cinedigm and Bloody Disgusting premiered the horror documentary Living With Chucky on its horror streaming service SCREAMBOX and on all major digital platforms in the US and Canada. (EG-PR, 2023)
Living with Chucky takes an in depth look at the groundbreaking Child’s Play franchise from the perspective of a filmmaker who grew up within it. Featuring interviews with cast and crew such as Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, creator Don Mancini, and much more, this personal film recounts the dedication, creativity and sacrifice that went into making the franchise and its long-lasting impact on the horror community.
Storming into pop culture in the late 1980s, the three-foot menace known as Chucky, proved that Child’s Play was anything but. The horror film went on to spawn six sequels, a television series, a reboot, comic books, a video game, and merchandise.
Written and directed by Kyra Elise Gardner, daughter of legendary special effects artist Tony Gardner, Living With Chucky looks back at the groundbreaking horror franchise by those there from the beginning. The documentary details the history of the Child’s Play films by the cast and crew, in addition to Gardner’s own relationship with the series and the impact it had on her family. The official trailer has dropped for the upcoming action-packed sci-fi adventure movie Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar, starring Michael Paré, Olivier Gruner, and Sarah French. The movie is set for digital release on May 2, with some theatrical play dates beginning April 21, and has just been selected for screening at this year’s Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival. The film concerns a father-daughter team of space scavengers who must race against a band of evil mercenaries to reach the legendary treasures on board a lost mythical freighter. Their quest will force them to navigate a universe filled with giant monsters, aliens, robots, and a mortal enemy seeking vengeance.
The movie also stars Tyler Gallant, Rachele Brooke Smith, Anahit Setian, Jed Rowen, Elise Muller, and Sadie Katz. In recent months, the film won the Golden Marquee Award for Best Feature Film and the Outstanding Producing Award at the Zed Fest Film Festival.
