Just in time for this this weekend’s shopping, Michael Kors is reopening Friday, May 25. The new and improved store is larger and carries a larger assortment of products, including women’s shoes for the first time. After an extensive makeover and expansion, Michael Kors will reopen in its original location between Restoration Hardware and Gucci. The 10,600 square-foot store will feature an updated, luxury concept with more product offerings and modern touches throughout.

Pearl hosts a free Fitness in Pearl Park every Tuesday, May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, at 5:30 p.m. in May with CrossFit classes from MBS Fitness. After class, enjoy specials in the Bottling Department from The Good Kind and the Bar. Sign up is not required for this event.
Sunset Sessions is back at Pearl Park for the 2018 summer season. DJ sets are every Wednesday starting on May 2 from 5:30p.m. to 9p.m. Dates and details for the June through October sessions will be forthcoming.

Mother’s Day at Pearl is jam packed with family-friendly activities and brunches worthy of spoiling moms. The Bottling Department will be giving away free Vintage Bouquet Bar flowers to all moms that walk in that day and will have a mom mimosa special at the bar. Bakery Lorraine will have dark chocolate zinfandel macaroons and The Granary ‘Cue and Brew will have a first ever pop-up brunch from 11a.m. to 3p.m. featuring buttermilk French toast and more. Granary is not usually open on Sundays, so this will give guests an exclusive chance to try their brunch for the first time. Retailers at the Pearl will also be open during normal business hours for guests to buy the perfect Mother’s Day present. The Farmers Market will be open from 10a.m. to 2p.m. as usual that day.
Starting Saturday, May 19 through June 3: Elena Gallego’s Rare Books Pop-Up Shop at Pearl from 11a.m. to 7p.m. Elena Gallego Rare Books will be hosting a special pop-up at the Pearl featuring antiquarian books, manuscripts, maps and posters from Texas and Spain. The pop-up will start on May 19 and go through June 3. There will be an official opening party on Tuesday, May 22, starting at 5p.m., with cocktails provided by La Merienda Catering. Fiesta is right around the corner in San Antonio and the medals have already started to show up around town. Yesterday at the second annual Fiesta Pop Up Store, Whataburger fans got a chance to buy an official Whataburger 2018 Fiesta medal before they went on sale to the public. Coinciding with San Antonio’s Tricentennial and all the history that comes with it, Whataburger’s Fiesta medal pays homage to the classics. The medal features a Whataburger No. 2 with crispy fries, decorated with glitter, and an ice-cold drink, all in bold, festive colors. General Pet Rules:
Pets must be on a leash and have up-to-date vaccination tags on the collar. For small dogs, using a carrier also is a smart way to go. Dogs at The Shops must always be under the control of their owner.
Owners must clean up after their canine friends. The Shops at La Cantera will provide six waste bag dispenser sites throughout the property.

This week Pearl launches the next pop-up with Mi Golondrina, a collection of handcrafted clothing and accessories. It all starts this Friday March 2 with a kickoff event from 5p.m. to 7p.m. and throughout the month, guests can visit Mi Golondrina’s pop-up to shop their latest line of high end artisan apparel and accessories. Founded in June 2013 by Cristina Lynch, Mi Golondrina is a style collection that works with skilled artisans to pair centuries-old embroidery techniques with modern styles. Each one-of-a-kind piece in the Mi Golondrina collection is hand-crafted in Mexico and the finishing details are added by their talented team in Dallas to create an assortment of high end artisan apparel and accessories. Their collection is typically sold in their Dallas showroom, online and at pop-up events. Mi Golondrina will be making their San Antonio debut this Friday at Pearl.

This Thursday March 1 from 4p.m. to 8p.m. is the inaugural First Thursday Night Markets with select local vendors and entertainment taking place every first Thursday throughout the year. They also have classes where guests can learn the art of floral design with a hands-on, relaxing experience on how to build and create signature whimsical arrangements. Each class arrangement will be uniquely styled and color palette oriented and will change from week to week.

Dine and Drink The Granary ‘Cue and Brew is offering a three-course pre-fixe dinner on Valentine’s Day from 5:30p.m. to 10p.m. for $55 per person, plus tip and tax. Each guest will choose a Welcome, Savor and Stay Courses from a specially selected menu for the evening including items such as Smoked Pork Belly, Barbecued Duck Breast, Buttermilk Chess Pie and more. Select wine and sparkling options will be featured during the evening. Reservations are not required, but strongly suggested and may be made online. The Granary also has a new seasonal beer on tap, ideal for chocolate lovers: Imperial Mocha Stout.
High Street Wine Co. will be celebrating Pearl’s ‘Month of Love’ with two unique wine flights that will run through the entire month. The first flight, ‘Riddle Me This,’ will be an exploration into the major styles of sparkling wine made by the Champagne Method. The second flight, ‘Liquid Dessert,’ has three different dessert wines that are distinctly different. Each flight will be paired with a small treat alongside, and discounts will apply to those who order in ‘pairs.’

Pearl is making it easier for customers to do some holiday shopping this season. Popmarte, a rotating, multi-brand pop-up retails store, is now open at the Pearl grounds until December 23. Curated by fashion industry veterans Nina McCandless and Ashley Clauss, it is a 1,200 square-foot retail space which features a wide selection of goods from local, regional and national designers in the fashion, accessories, home, beauty, kids, tech, travel and lifestyle space. Each week, five to seven select brands will have their own shop-in-shop within the overall space offering newness and excitement for the consumer throughout this holiday season. (Popmarte, 2017)
