Ingredients:

  • Twang Reserve Michelada Rimming Salt
  • Choice of Twang Classic Michelada Mix, Spicy Michelada Mix or Pickle Michelada Mix
  • Mexican Lager of your choosing
  • Lime 

Directions:

  1. Rim glass with Twang Reserve Michelada Salt then fill with ice.
  2. Add choice of Twang Michelada Mix and Mexican Lager. 
  3. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

As National Michelada Day approaches on July 12, Twang, a Texas based manufacturer of salts, seasonings, and michelada mixes is celebrating with giveaways and new merchandise. (Twang, 2021)

The michelada is a popular beer drink that is native to Mexico, popular in Texas, and quickly gaining notoriety throughout the United States. The prepared mix works best with Mexican beers and domestic lagers and is commonly referred to as a milder version of its American cousin, the Bloody Mary. Twang currently offers three types of michelada mixes: regular, spicy, and pickle. A michelada is defined as a Mexican cerveza preparada made with beer, lime juice and assorted sauces, spices and peppers and served in a chilled, salt-rimmed glass. Thursday July 12 is National Michelada Day, a day dedicated to sipping on the popular Mexican beer cocktail. 1 Lime
4 oz Clamato Mix
1 Dash Worcestershire
2 Dashes Tabasco
1 12oz Beer
Ice (as needed)
1 Lime Wedge Garnish
Rim a glass with Michelada Beer Salt. In a shaker with ice combine, lime juice, clamato, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce; shake well to chill. Pour in class with ice; fill with beer. Add lime wedge for garnish.
