With Thanksgiving coming up next week on November 25, Bakery Lorraine has the tastiest pie options that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Each of Bakery Lorraine’s nine inch holiday pies serves between 8 – 10 people and retails for only $26. Pre-orders are available now through Sunday, November 21, and pickup will begin one hour after opening on Wednesday, November 24 at all Bakery Lorraine locations. (Bakery Lorraine, 2021)

San Antonio Museum of Art Families can enjoy the San Antonio Museum of Art in a new way by trick-or-treating throughout the museum on Sunday, October 31 from 10a.m. – 5p.m. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes as they explore the museum’s galleries. Swords, scepters, weapons, wands, and full-face masks will not be permitted.
Taco Cabana This Halloween season, Taco Cabana is celebrating with the return of its popular Bean and Cheese taco coupon booklets. For a limited time and while supplies last, guests can purchase the booklets for $2 each at any Taco Cabana location. Each booklet will include five coupons for a free TC classic Bean and Cheese taco, and the $2 donation from each booklet sold will directly benefit local food banks. Offer is valid until October 31 and coupons are redeemable through November 30, 2021.
EVO Entertainment Austin, Schertz, New Braunfels and San Marcos locations On Saturday, October 30, families can check out “Pumpkins & Popcorn” at EVO locations featuring a specialty screening of Scoob! at 11a.m. Tickets to the event include a wooden pumpkin, painting and decorating supplies, and a popcorn and candy snack bag. Twang In the spirit of celebrating Halloween on October 31, family-owned salts and seasonings company, Twang, has a themed cocktail to enjoy at home using their Twang-A-Rita Nectarberry. The cocktail is appropriately named Witch’s Brew and is composed of 2 oz. cinnamon liqueur, 3/4 pomegranate syrup, 3oz. apple cider, and topped with champagne for a single serving. September is National Honey Month and to celebrate the fuzzy pollinators that gift us with such lovely treats, San Antonio & Austin based Bakery Lorraine is partnering with the National Honey Board. As part of this partnership, the beloved bakery is debuting a limited time Mesquite Honey Macaron that will be available during National Honey Month and throughout the fall. The special macaron is filled with a mesquite honey buttercream and fresh honey. (Bakery Lorraine, 2021)
The new macaron is not Bakery Lorraine’s first venture into the world of honey. The bakery’s indulgent cinnamon rolls are glazed with honey from Gretchen Bee Ranch and their Canelés are also created using beeswax in the molds to help give the pastry a shiny exterior. Educational materials from the National Honey Board will be available at Bakery Lorraine locations throughout the month. The Mesquite Honey Macaron, Cinnamon Roll and Canelé are available at all Bakery Lorraine locations. During the month of September, at Bakery Lorraine’s Pearl location, the proceeds from the bakery’s Earl Grey Macaron will be donated to the Landa Gardens Conservancy.

The Tobacco Bourbon Macaron is made with steeped loose leaf tobacco from Club Humidor that enhances the tobacco flavor. Bakery Lorraine, a local favorite and nationally recognized pastry shop, will offer a rainbow-colored cookie in celebration of Pride Month. They will be joining forces with San Antonio-based LGBTQ+ organization, ThriveYouth Center. (Bakery Lorraine, 2021)
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Thrive Youth Center, an organization whose mission is to help homeless LGBTQ+ youth in San Antonio. The cookies will be available throughout the month of June starting Friday, June 4, and will be sold in packs of three cookies for $6.50. Cookies can be purchased at all Bakery Lorraine locations in San Antonio and Austin for dine-in or to go. This June Thrive Youth Center aims to raise over $20,000 for its organization. Meeting this goal will allow the organization to accommodate the growing numbers of youth entering their shelter, assist with housing programs, provide funding for increased staffing needs and supply necessary items for LGBTQ+ youth.

Bakery Lorraine has three locations in San Antonio including one in the Historic Pearl district, one in San Antonio’s Medical Center, and one in San Antonio’s RIM shopping center, including now an Austin location at Domain NORTHSIDE.
Thrive Youth Center’s mission is to provide a safe, effective, and supportive center for homeless LGBTQ youth in San Antonio and Austin, so they may become productive, skilled, educated, and successful adults with the ability, opportunity, and possibility of achieving their dreams. Thrive has 10 beds at their emergency shelter located on Haven for Hope’s campus, and are now in the third year of housing young adults in their own apartments for up to a year through a federal government grant. Thrive Youth Center has served over 200 young adults in 2019 alone.
