Band on The Run
Looking outside of my human form….Flowing consciousness flows/grows into external bliss…..Chasing Mad Maxx?……Trying to survive the matrix/I surrender anew….

Silent Bells
Taking my mind to another part of the matrix….I seek the eternal analysis of the human condition…I push the realm of a higher consciousness/I try…

Finding Nemo First
Tired eyes at 6a.m….Walking a surreal line anew….I cry tears of joy?….Sensitive hearts trying to make a difference….Poetic muses ponder!

In The Moment
Thoughts of a surreal world take me to a different place now. Friday becomes another reason to check.

Book of the week: ‘Breathe: Healing Conversations’ by Karen Achille

‘Breathe: Healing Conversations’ is a contemporary poetry book by Karen Achille. Photo: Karen Achille, used with permission.

In today’s book news: if you love poetry as much as I do, Karen Achille’s “Breathe: Healing Conversations” should be on your radar. Take a journey into the full range of emotions that poetry can convey.

Karen Achille is a Georgia-based and Haiti-born poetess, teacher, and relationship coach whose lifelong vision is to help empathic souls heal through the power of poetic storytelling. In addition to the co-authored debut book “Jaded” and her second book “Breathe,” she holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and two graduate degrees in English Education and Leadership. When she is not pouring her heart out on paper, you can find this altruistic soul dancing like nobody is watching, cooking a delicious meal, or simply relaxing in the present moment. She is also a pluviophile and nature lover. Above all else, Karen cherishes quality time spent with her loved ones, especially her love and muse, Gayle. “Breathe” is available on Amazon. More from the author: Writer’s Workshop: The Creative Huddle. (Karen Achille, 2023)

“Breathe” takes the reader on an emotive voyage of upheaval, heartache, healing, and ultimately, personal transformation. Through heartfelt poetic narration and evocative lines, poetess Karen Achille reveals a relatable story that reminds you that you are never truly alone on this journey called life. By the book’s end, each sense will be awakened, and your heart will be empowered. Most importantly, “Breathe” invites the reader to truly reside in the present, darkness and all.

Poetry spotlight: the poetry of Danny Wilson Vol. 3

‘Quiet Room Speaking’ is one of Danny Wilson’s many poetry books out there. Photo: Amazon

Okay, poetry fans. Continuing the journey into Danny Wilson’s poetry, here is volume 3 and a look into some more of his other poetry books. Danny Wilson is a poet originally from Greenville, NC and currently residing in Albuquerque, NM. After years of military service, he is now retired and focusing on his poetry. He has written over 100 poetry books in the last nine years with no intention of slowing down. (Danny Wilson, 2023)

Quiet Room Speaking
Ears ringing 24/7. I try to make sense of a senseless life anew. Hanging out with the folks at Denny’s. My inner psyche grows with the complexities of human dynamics.

Between November
Life becomes just a series of events. Complex children running towards misunderstood elders. Walking a tightrope along angst and melancholy. Destiny fades to black. Life becomes just a series of events. Destiny fades to black.

After Summer
The journey of life traveling at the speed of sound. Flawed characters taking life one day at a time. Pain becoming useful medicine. Hope provides a band-aid to heal weathered hearts.

Fading Forward
Existing between complex worlds. Seeing the beauty of fellow truth-seekers. Tired eyes reaching for a brass ring. Pet sounds fade to the twilight zone.
