Bakery Lorraine is excited to announce that their Halloween treats are back this year for some spooky fun everyone can enjoy. From Friday, October 28 until Monday, October 31, fun Halloween treats will be available at all Bakery Lorraine locations. The delectable pastries are sure to satisfy any Halloween sweet tooth craving whether at a Halloween themed party, welcoming trick-or-treaters, or just enjoying a solo spooky treat. Their Halloween offerings include the below pastries:

Black Cat Tart ($6) – Chocolate mousse tart with vanilla filling
Lemon Meringue Mummy Tart ($6) – Lemon curd topped with meringue and two chocolate chips for the mummy’s eyes
Chocolate Caramel Tart ($6) – Caramel filling topped with chocolate ganache
Voodoo Doll Gingerbread Cookie ($5) – Gingerbread cookie dipped in a rich dark chocolate
Ghost Moon pie ($5) – Homemade graham cookies with a honey marshmallow filling dipped in a white chocolate
The Great Pumpkin Mac – Pumpkin spice macaron shell with a creamy buttercream center. Macarons are priced at $2.65 each or available to be included in their assortment boxes. Assortment boxes can be purchased in two different sizes, holding 6 macarons for $14.00 or 12 macarons for $26.00.

Bakery Lorraine also recently announced that its new Boerne location will officially open to the public on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Bakery Lorraine in Boerne will feature the bakery’s full menu including macarons, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and more.

Owned by chefs Anne Ng, Jeremy Mandrell, and operator Charlie Biedenharn, Bakery Lorraine has quickly become a sensation in San Antonio. It was named one of the best new bakeries in the U.S. by Food & Wine as well as one of the “13 Destination Bakeries” by Conde Nast Traveler and recently made Southern Living’s list of the South’s Best Bakeries in 2022.

Bakery Lorraine, a local favorite and nationally recognized pastry shop, is partnering with the San Antonio Philharmonic through the entire month of September to donate a portion of all sales from their mocha macaron. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the organization whose mission it is to involve new audiences in the transformative power of music. Offer good at all Bakery Lorraine locations. The SA Phil Mocha Macaron will benefit the SA Philharmonic throughout the month of September. It will be sold as a single macaron priced at $2.65 or available to be included in their assortment boxes. Bakery Lorraine’s Fourth of July pies available for pre-order

To celebrate the Fourth of July next week, Bakery Lorraine has pies for pre-order for any Independence Day get-togethers. The bakery is offering an Apple pie, made with five different kinds of apples, and a Buttermilk pie topped with berries. The 9” pies are $28 each and serve eight. (Bakery Lorraine, 2022)

Orders can be made online for pickup at the following San Antonio locations: The Rim, Pearl and Medical Center. The pies are also available for pre-order at Bakery Lorraine’s Austin location at Domain NORTHSIDE. The last day for pre-orders is this Wednesday, June 29 at noon. Pick up for pre-ordered pies is Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3. Additionally, a limited number of pies will be available in-store at the Pearl location only on Monday, July 4 on a first come, first served basis.

Bakery Lorraine celebrates Pride Month with cookies for a cause

Bakery Lorraine, a local favorite and nationally recognized pastry shop, will offer a rainbow-colored cookie in celebration of Pride Month. They will be joining forces with San Antonio-based LGBTQ+ organization, Thrive Youth Center. (Bakery Lorraine, 2022)

A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the organization whose mission is to help homeless LGBTQ+ youth in San Antonio. The cookies will be available throughout the month of June starting on June 1 and will be sold in packs of three cookies for $6.50. Cookies can be purchased at all Bakery Lorraine locations in San Antonio and Austin for dine-in or to go. This June Thrive Youth Center aims to raise over $20,000 for its organization. Meeting this goal will allow the organization to accommodate the growing numbers of youth entering their shelter, assist with housing programs, provide funding for increased staffing needs and supply necessary items for LGBTQ+ youth.

Thrive Youth Center’s mission is to provide a safe, effective, and supportive center for homeless LGBTQ youth in San Antonio and Austin, so they may become productive, skilled, educated, and successful adults with the ability, opportunity, and possibility of achieving their dreams. Thrive has 10 beds at our emergency shelter located on Haven for Hope’s campus, and we are now in our third year of housing young adults in their own apartments for up to a year through a federal government grant. Thrive Youth Center has served over 200 young adults in 2019 alone.

This Mother’s Day Bakery Lorraine will offer several specials that are sure to capture mom’s heart. From flower boxes to rose scented desserts, Bakery Lorraine and their partner, Emma Lily Flowers, are sure to have the perfect gift for Mom. 

  • The Flower Box: The Flower Box includes an assortment of six Parisian macarons that include raspberry, pistachio, and triple vanilla ($35) and is decorated with fresh flowers. There are no substitutions for this package.
  • The Petite Bouquet: The Petite Bouquet is a fresh bouquet of flowers and includes twelve macarons, including raspberry, pistachio, blueberry violet, and triple vanilla flavors ($60). There are no substitutions for this package.
  • Quiches: Treat mom to a special breakfast in bed with Bakery Lorraine’s savory quiches. Quiche options include the traditional Quiche Lorraine filled with bacon, gruyere, and caramelized onions and the Veggie Quiche which includes leeks, Swiss chard, and gruyere. The large quiche is available for $40, serves up to eight people and is packed cold for a quick reheat at home for only 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees in the oven.
  • Special Desserts: For moms with a sweet tooth, shoppers can gift Bakery Lorraine’s special desserts. Their large fruit tart ($32) is filled with a creamy vanilla mascarpone and topped with fresh fruit. Fruit varies based on season and availability. Add a flower scent effect to the gift of dessert with Japonaise, a rose scented vanilla cream swirled with raspberry jam in between two macaron shells with fresh raspberries. Give mom a literal heart with Bakery Lorraine’s Strawberry Pop Hearts, a grownup version of the classic pop-tart treat shaped into a heart, or Heart Shaped Moon Pies, rich chocolate shortbreads with honey marshmallow and dipped in white coating chocolate.

With Thanksgiving coming up next week on November 25, Bakery Lorraine has the tastiest pie options that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Each of Bakery Lorraine’s nine inch holiday pies serves between 8 – 10 people and retails for only $26. Pre-orders are available now through Sunday, November 21, and pickup will begin one hour after opening on Wednesday, November 24 at all Bakery Lorraine locations. (Bakery Lorraine, 2021)
