Taco Cabana welcomes fall and winter with all-new menu items, food pairing specials, and returning family favorites. Starting Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at all Texas Taco Cabana locations, guests can embrace cooler weather with the additions of Pozole, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and tasty Pollo Asado Street Tacos, along with the return of TC’s signature Fajita Meals in El Paso. The all-new Pollo Asado Street Tacos (three-pack) are made with juicy delicious grilled chicken marinated in lime and orange juices, Mexican seasonings, topped with cilantro and onion, and served on corn tortillas. Each three-pack is available for $5.99. Guests will also be able to add new Pollo Asado to any of their TC favorites like quesadillas, nachos, Cabana Bowls®, burritos or flour tortilla tacos.

Embrace any Texas weather – hot or cold – with TC’s all-new Pozole, a hearty rich soup full of tender diced pork and hominy, topped with a blend of cilantro and onions and served with two lime wedges. Or try the returning fan-favorite Chicken Tortilla Soup, featuring a savory broth made with shredded chicken and topped with crispy corn tortilla strips, a blend of jack and cheddar cheeses, and served with lime wedges and a side of rice. Both soups are available in 8 oz. and 12 oz. servings and are the perfect seasonal snack. 

The only thing better than a warm soup is a warm soup paired with other TC favorites. TC guests can enjoy a variety of Soup Pairings starting at $7.29, featuring a small Pozole or Chicken Tortilla soup and choice of a ground beef taco, a three-pack of chicken flautas, or a small Chips and Queso. 

The TC Under $5 Value Menu will also see changes this season with the addition of two Taco Deals, including two black bean tacos and two chicken ranchero and cheese tacos. Breakfast for Under $4 is perfect for TC lovers looking for a warm breakfast with pairs of country sausage and egg tacos; egg ranchero and cheese tacos; potato, egg and ranchero tacos; or egg and cheese tacos. Bean and cheese nachos, three-pack chicken flautas, and ground beef and shredded chicken Double Crunch Pizzas will also be available on the Under $5 Menu.

El Paso guests can also indulge with TC Fajita Meals. Each filling and flavorful order comes complete with a half or full order of chicken, steak or mix fajita, two 8 oz. servings of refried beans, two 8 oz. servings of rice and 12 tortillas, with prices starting at $17.99. Shake Shack teams up with Trolls on holiday shakes menu

To celebrate the release of DreamWorks Animation’s new feature film Trolls Band Together on November 17, Shake Shack is teaming up with this new chapter in the blockbuster musical Trolls franchise to offer a limited-time shakes menu for fans across the U.S. The trio of shakes is inspired by the leading characters in the film – Poppy, Branch and new character Viva – as well as traditional holiday flavors that we know and love. The new menu items are accompanied by Trolls-themed holiday packaging including a takeout bag, cup and tray liner, and are now available at Shake Shack locations nationwide (stadiums and airports not included). The trio of Trolls-themed shakes include:

  • Poppy’s Sugar Cookie Shake: Hand-spun sugar cookie frozen custard, mixed with cookie dough pop candy, topped with whipped cream and cotton candy. Starts at $7.49
  • Branch’s Chocolate Peppermint Shake: Hand-spun vanilla and chocolate frozen custard, mixed with mint fudge, topped with whipped cream and mint candy crunch. Starts at $7.29
  • Viva’s Cinnamon Roll Shake: Hand-spun cinnamon roll frozen custard, swirled with gold frosting, topped with whipped cream and gold confetti. Starts at $7.29

In celebration of National Quesadilla Day on September 25, 2023, and to showcase a newly established strategic partnership with PepsiCo®/Frito-Lay®, Taco Cabana will launch its all-new Fritos® Pie Quesadilla for just $6.69 (small) and a Fritos® Pie Taco for just $3.99 at all participating Texas Taco Cabana locations. Guests will be able to enjoy a quesadilla made with two flour tortillas filled with melted Jack & Cheddar cheeses, chile con carne, Fritos® corn chips, pico de gallo and jalapeños, and served with a side of queso, as well as a taco with melted Jack & Cheddar cheeses, chile con carne, Fritos® corn chips, pico de gallo and jalapeños served on a freshly made in house flour tortilla.

Carriqui announces new lunch menu and Las Coronelas residency

Potluck Hospitality and Carriqui are announcing some exciting new updates at the restaurant where South Texas flavor meets fire. Beloved mariachi group, Mariachi Las Coronelas, will have a residency at the restaurant every Sunday throughout August. In addition to the music residency, Carriqui will launch a lunch menu starting Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The midday menu will feature some familiar favorites like the smoked pecan mole enchiladas, in addition to all the new dishes guests have been requesting, like the new La Fortaleza Burger. Mariachi Las Coronelas will perform August 13, August 20, and August 27 from 11a.m. to 2p.m. during ‘Smokehouse Sundays’ at Carriqui. Mariachi Las Coronelas is composed of all female performers and directed by founder Vanessa Del Fierro. Some performances of note for the mariachi include From Dusk Till Dawn the Series, Machete, Netflix’s Seis Manos, The Jimmy Kimmel Show with Bill Murray, Will Ferrel’s Funny or Die Music/Comedy Showcase, and SXSW to name a few.

Las Coronelas will only perform at Carriqui on Sundays, but Carriqui’s lunch menu will be available every day. In keeping with Carriqui’s affinity for Texas-style meats drawing flavor from fire in its smokehouse, the restaurant’s lunch menu will feature items like the new Texas Brisket Pastrami on Rye, served with grain  mustard and homemade seasoned chips, and the Pecan Mole Enchiladas, served with Carriqui’s signature smoked achiote chicken, toasted sesame seeds, onion, queso fresco, and rice and beans. Carriqui will also introduce the much anticipated La Fortaleza Burger, as a permanent feature on the lunch menu, made with beef from La Fortaleza and served with cheddar cheese, house pickles, new homemade seasoned chips, and salad. Other favorites that are now available on the lunch menu include the Blackened Fish Tacos, Brisket Tacos, and more.

The Grand Opening Weekend is set for Friday, June 23 – Sunday June 25, and will include the expanded food menu including fan favorites from its previous location like the SmashBurger, Fish and Chips, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Chicken Wings, Devilled Eggs, Fried Pickles, and more. Arriving just in time for summer, Taco Cabana invites guests to enjoy its newest offerings, including the tasty Southwest Ranchero Cabana Bowl® and quesadilla, as well as three all-new “Gigante” Breakfast Cabana Bowls® and a country sausage breakfast taco. TC’s latest culinary innovation – the new “Gigante” Breakfast Cabana Bowls® – served three different ways with the guests’ choice of new, deliciously seasoned country sausage and egg, chorizo and egg, or all egg served in a signature TC crispy tortilla shell. Each bowl includes seasoned potatoes, refried beans, queso and pico de gallo and will be available for $4.99 each. Those looking for extra flavor and crunch can add two strips of crispy bacon for $1.59.

A seasoned country sausage breakfast taco will also be introduced to the TC menu for $2.19. The “Gigante Breakfast Cabana Bowls®” and country sausage breakfast taco will be available for purchase during breakfast hours only.

TC’s new Southwest Ranchero offerings are a must-try this summer season. The Southwest Ranchero quesadilla consists of two TC flour tortillas filled with grilled Chicken Fajita, ranchero salsa made with black beans and roasted corn, melted Jack & Cheddar cheeses, pico de gallo and served with a side of sour cream and fresh guacamole and is available in two sizes: small for $6.99 and large for $10.99. The Southwest Ranchero Cabana Bowl® is filled with grilled Chicken Fajita, ranchero salsa made with black beans and roasted corn, rice, refried beans, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese and sour cream in a crispy tortilla shell available for $8.39.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023 and Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Taco Cabana invites guests to celebrate Fat Tuesday and National Margarita Day with the choice of any flavor frozen margarita and Double Crunch Pizza (DCP) bundle all day long, at all Texas locations.

Guests can treat themselves with their choice of one of Taco Cabana’s 12 frozen margarita flavors like Blue Curacao, Dragon Fruit, or Strawberry Mango, and pair it with any tasty DCP flavor, like the newly-launched Shredded Chicken DCP or Chorizo and Egg DCP, or the original Ground Beef DCP for just $6.99. This two-day offer is only available to guests 21 years of age or older with valid photo ID during standard hours of operation at all participating Taco Cabana locations in Texas.

The Fat Tuesday and National Margarita Day bundles are available through curbside pick-up, drive-thru, in-restaurant and online orders only. Not available via third party delivery service providers.

Due to popular demand, Taco Cabana will add two all-new Double Crunch Pizza (DCP) flavors this February following the release of its first-ever pizza in December 2022. Launching February 2, 2023, a Chorizo and Egg Double Crunch Pizza, available all day – perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner – and a Shredded Chicken Double Crunch Pizza will be added to the TC menu. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, here is some menu news for the big day. Meat lovers and crispy flauta fans alike will find much to enjoy at Taco Cabana this Valentine’s Day. Food is the way to the heart, and fortunately, Taco Cabana is paving the way. Foodie couples looking for some bites will have the choice of a Shredded Chicken Taco Plate, a Ground Beef Taco Plate, or a three-pack Flauta Plate for just $10.99. Each plate comes with an array of tasty rice, refried beans or black beans, shredded lettuce, guacamole, and two tortillas.

Guests 21 years of age or older can pair their special meal with one of Taco Cabana’s many frozen margarita flavors or a sweet treat such as TC’s delectable Oreo Churros.

Taco Cabana, a subsidiary of YTC Enterprises, LLC, was founded in 1978. The brand specializes in Tex-Mex-inspired food including enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, flautas, tacos, flour tortillas and a selection of made-from-scratch salsas and sauces. Restaurants feature open-display cooking, a selection of bottled beer and signature $3 tequila margaritas, patio dining, drive-thru windows, curbside pick-up, delivery and catering. As of January 19, 2023, Taco Cabana operates 143 company-owned restaurants in Texas.

This holiday season, Bakery Lorraine introduces winter menu items perfect for the colder weather. These items include a new grilled cheese sandwich, a charcuterie plate, a croque madame sandwich and more. Bakery Lorraine is also inspiring holiday cheer with festive treats. The bakery is offering chocolate-covered gingerbread men and macaroons in multiple flavors including; Red Hot, Egg Nog, White Chocolate Peppermint, Angel Food, Hot Cocoa, Pistachio, Raspberry and Earl Grey.
